New aircraft maintenance operation opens in Alabama

FTair, LLC is an aviation maintenance and management company headquartered at Memphis International Airport (KMEM) in Memphis, Tennessee. Established in 2006 as Tunica Air Group in Tunica, Mississippi, the company relocated to Memphis in 2008 and rebranded as Total Air Group. In 2020, it merged with the Flight Test Aerospace (FTA) family and was integrated as FTair in 2022.


FTair is part of the Flight Test Aerospace family, which provides Full-Service Aviation support worldwide. Ftair has opted to open a maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in the Decatur area of Alabama at the Pryor Field Regional Airport (KDCU).


As an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station, FTair offers a comprehensive range of services, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, avionics upgrades and installations, non-destructive testing (NDT), and asset management. The company is an authorized service center for TBM, Cessna, Genesys, and Garmin, providing support for Part 121, 135, and 91 operators.


In addition to its Memphis facility, FTair operates a hangar in the California desert, currently dedicated to long-term projects for the U.S. government.
